About Frank Aluisio, MD
Orthopedic Surgeon, Hip and Knee Replacement Specialist
Dr. Frank Aluisio is a board-certified, fellowship-trained, orthopedic surgeon. He specializes in complex total hip and knee joint replacement surgery as well as provides treatment for degenerative conditions of the hip and knee joints. Dr. Aluisio is the most experienced adult reconstructive hip and knee surgeon in the Triad. In fact, since 1998, he has performed more than 15,000 hip and knee replacements in Greensboro. He combines well-proven techniques with his desire to help returning and new patients alike. Dr. Aluisio accepts new patient appointments in both Greensboro and Summerfield.
Currently, Dr. Aluisio serves as the Physician President of EmergeOrtho. He is dedicated to ensuring EmergeOrtho stays at the forefront of medical technologies and innovation to best care for EmergeOrtho patients, state-wide. His leadership style brings each EmergeOrtho Region together to collectively be recognized as a premier orthopedic medical practice in the United States.
Dr. Aluisio has published numerous articles and book chapters, presented both nationally and internationally, and co-authored “Orthopedics for the House Officer, 2nd Edition.” He has also been an instructor for several hip and knee replacement courses. Dr. Aluisio is a former President of the North Carolina Orthopedic Association and has served on the Board of Councilors for the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons.
Through community involvement, Dr. Aluisio shows his commitment to both his patients and extended community. He has provided healthcare treatment educational information sessions for the aging population. As a member of the Greensboro Sports Council, Dr. Aluisio strives to provide hospitality, resources, and community support for local event participants. In the past, he has also served as a youth sports coach.
Providing patient-centered care is a priority for Dr. Aluisio. He prides himself in building positive relationships with his patients. He appreciates being able to serve his patients and enabling them to return to a comfortable and active life.
