Fulfilling a need in the rapidly growing area that includes northern New Hanover and southern Pender counties, EmergeOrtho-Coastal Region opened a new EmergeOrtho Orthopedic Urgent Care in Porters Neck (Wilmington, NC). The urgent care office is located at 8115 Market Street, Suite 104, at the opposite end of the same building as EmergeOrtho’s established orthopedic clinic in Porters Neck Professional Center.
EmergeOrtho Orthopedic Urgent Care provides specialized orthopedic care without an appointment. In contrast to generalized urgent care centers, EmergeOrtho’s urgent care locations are staffed by experienced orthopedic providers who specialize in evaluating and treating bone and joint injuries. Conditions that are appropriate for urgent care visits include strains, sprains, broken bones, sports injuries, and recently painful, swollen or injured joints.
The Porters Neck location is open Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. through 5:00 p.m., and on Saturdays 9:00 a.m. through 1:00 p.m. People with orthopedic injuries or conditions that need to be diagnosed and treated right away, but are not severe enough to warrant emergency room care, may simply walk in or reserve their place online at emergeortho.com, essentially skipping the line when they arrive.

Most insurances are accepted and filed as an orthopedic specialty office visit. X-ray and casting services are available on site.
