Sarah Bedard, PA-C, MPAS

A board-certified physician assistant, Sarah Bedard earned her master’s degree in physician assistant studies from Grand Valley State University’s College of Health Professions.

After practicing in Carteret County for several years immediately after graduation, she moved to New Hampshire to practice at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center for four years. While being at an Ivy League academic medical center was a very valuable experience, Sarah is happy to be back in coastal North Carolina.

Sarah’s PA experience includes hospitalist medicine, orthopedics, sports medicine, spine, oncology, joint replacement and trauma. She is part of the sports medicine and general orthopedics team led by Robert Coles, MD, and especially enjoys assisting with surgery and managing post-operative care for patients recovering from procedures.

She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, North Carolina Academy of Physician Assistants, and ENPAC, a tri-county associate provider society. Sarah believes in developing solid relationships with her patients and advocates for patient education as the key to recovery and prevention.

Sarah, her husband and two daughters enjoy the many outdoor activities along the Crystal Coast. She can also be found on the sidelines at local high school sports events, serving as a physician assistant to address sports injuries and issues as they occur.
