Dr. Collins is Greensboro’s first board-certified, sports medicine fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon. He specializes in shoulder & knee injuries/conditions. In his practice, he predominantly cares for patients with injuries/conditions frequently resulting from sport and work-related accidents as well as those suffering from degenerative joint conditions. Dr. Collins’s patients range from pediatric to geriatric stages of life.
Dr. Collins has a special interest in treating disorders of the knee in particular ligamentous (ACL, PCL, MCL, LCL), meniscal, and articular cartilage conditions. Articular cartilage procedures include microfracture, osteochrondral autograft/allografts, and autologous chondrocyte implantation “ACI” “Carticel Procedure.”
