Dr. Elizabeth Bagsby did her undergraduate studies at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana. She received an advanced degree as a Cytotechnologist before pursuing her career in medicine at Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis. She completed her residency and served as chief resident in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Indiana University School of Medicine with a strong concentration in pain management. During residency, Dr. Bagsby was elected into the Gold Humanism Honor Society. After residency, Dr. Bagsby worked in private practice in Indiana as an interventional pain physician before moving to North Carolina. Dr. Bagsby’s expertise includes musculoskeletal complaints, rehabilitation techniques, treatment of headaches, and comprehensive pain management with focus on improvement in function.

Dr. Bagsby is certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and American Board of Pain Management eligible. She is a member of the Spine Interventional Society, American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, American Medical Association, and Gold Humanism Honor Society.

Dr. Bagsby is an interventional Physiatrist. Treatment techniques include, but are not limited to sacroiliac injections, medial branch blocks and medial branch rhizotomy of the lumbar, thoracic and cervical spine, epidural steroid injections of the lumbar, thoracic and cervical spine, transforaminal epidural steroid injections of the lumbar spine, spinal cord stimulation therapy, kyphoplasty, caudal epidural injections, stellate ganglion blocks, lumbar sympathetic plexus blocks, piriformis injections, occipital nerve blocks, peripheral nerve blocks, and Botox for migraines. She is also skilled at performing multiple joint and bursa injections involving the axial or appendicular skeleton.

Outside of work, Dr. Bagsby enjoys the outdoors. She loves skiing, horseback riding, and fox hunting in her free time. Dr. Bagsby is bilingual, fluent in English and Spanish.
