Dr. Timothy Howard brings his specialization in minimally-invasive spine procedures and multifaceted treatment approaches to the Interventional Pain Management Team for the EmergeOrtho—Triangle Region. As an experienced pain management physician, Dr. Howard is committed to providing personalized treatment of pain through patient-centered care.

Education and Expertise

Dr. Howard grew up in Maryland and attended medical school in Norfolk, Virginia at Eastern Virginia Medical School. His passion for helping patients with chronic pain developed during his residency and fellowship training at the Mayo Clinic, where he learned a comprehensive, multi-disciplinary approach to treating pain effectively.

After completing his pain fellowship, he moved to North Carolina to be closer to his family. He joined EmergeOrtho in 2017. Dr. Howard is currently a member of the American Academy of Pain Medicine and the Spine Intervention Society.
