Dr. Satterfield is board certified/recertified in Orthopedic Surgery and specializes in general orthopedics, sports medicine, arthroscopy, and carpal tunnel syndrome. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedics Surgery, the North Carolina Orthopedic Association, the North Carolina Medical Society, and the Wilson Medical Society. He is on staff at Wilson Medical Center and Eastern Regional Surgery Center in Wilson.
Dr. Satterfield’s volunteer and community service within the community of Wilson involves being the team physician for Barton College, Fike High School, and the Wilson Tobs Baseball Team. He is also the Medical Director for the Athletic Training Education Program at Barton College. He is one of the founding members of The Carolina Sports Medicine Institute, a non-profit organization assisting the community with education and sports medicine. He serves in a teaching capacity for PAs, medical students, and high school students as a mentor. Finally, he is very active at First United Methodist Church and also mentors/tutors at Hearne Elementary School through the Hand in Hand program.
Dr. Satterfield lives in Wilson, NC with his wife, Jessica, and their two children.
