Born and raised in Puerto Rico, Felix Muniz, MD, graduated magna cum laude with his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Puerto Rico, Rio Piedras campus. He obtained his Doctor of Medicine at the University of Puerto Rico– San Juan, going on to complete his anesthesiology residency at the same institution, where he was named Assistant Chief Resident in his senior year. Relocating to New York, Dr. Muniz did his fellowship in pain management at SUNY-Brooklyn.
Double board certified, in both anesthesiology and pain management, Dr. Muniz has been in private practice since 1997. He treats all types of chronic pain and excels as a pain management specialist with a particular interest in the spine, various nerve blocks and joint injections, and spinal cord stimulators. He has also participated in various research studies and collaborated in writing a chapter about Intrathecal Pump Implants.
Dr. Muniz is fully bilingual, fluent in both Spanish and English.
Dr. Muniz brings his expertise in interventional pain management in the coastal region and is seeing patients in Jacksonville.
