Dr. Benjamin J. Davis is a board-eligible orthopedic surgeon specializing in joint replacements. His education and expertise make him a top knee replacement surgeon and hip replacement surgeon. Dr. Davis performs cutting-edge surgery that includes partial and total knee replacements, as well as partial and total hip arthroplasty (hip replacement). His dedication to the craft makes him stand out as a knee surgeon and hip surgeon. He specializes in robotic surgeries, as well.

Dr. Davis dedicated many years to his education. He received his Bachelor of Science in Health Science Biology and Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Tennessee Technological University in Cookeville, TN. After receiving his Bachelor’s, he went to the University of Alabama School of Medicine in Birmingham, AL, where he earned the 2016 UAB Outstanding Medical Student in Surgical Studies Award. He then completed his Orthopaedic residency at Loyola University Medical Center, Maywood, IL, and finally, completed an Adult Reconstruction Fellowship at the Southern Joint Replacement Institute in Nashville, TN.

Dr. Davis’ expertise goes outside of the medical room. He has several articles featured in reputable medical journals. He has also been a volunteer at many organizations such as:

  • M-Power and EAB (Equal Access Birmingham) free clinics Volunteer for impoverished communities (2012-2014)
  • Relay for Life Team Leader – Top 5 for money raised for breast cancer awareness two years in a row (2011-2012)
  • Avalon Hospice volunteer (2011-2012)
  • Remote Area Medical (RAM) Volunteer. Volunteer relief corps serving impoverished rural American areas (2010-2012)
  • Habitat for Humanity Volunteer – house building (2010, 2011)

Outside of his professional life, Dr. Davis has many accolades that show his ability to balance his work-life while pursuing his own passions. In 2012, he was in the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society and Mortar Board National College Senior Honor Society. Dr. Davis had an outstanding athletic career—in 2011 and 2012, he earned the NCAA Football-Division I Medal of Honor Award presented by the Ohio Valley Conference, which is given annually to student-athletes who achieve the highest GPA in a Conference-sponsored sport. In 2009, he earned the Wendy’s Scholar Athlete of the Week in football.

Dr. Davis also enjoys hiking, grilling, camping, woodworking, golfing, movies, and cycling.
