Dr. Lang graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Johns Hopkins University and completed both his medical training and his residency at Duke University. At New England Baptist Hospital, he was an Otto E. Aufranc Adult Reconstruction fellow, which enabled him to receive extensive, additional training in the performance of both primary and complex revision hip and knee surgery.
For nine years he was on the staff at Wake Forest University as an Associate Professor of Orthopedic Surgery. While there, he helped build a joint replacement program and led the Adult Reconstruction Section.
Dr. Lang, who brings extensive experience in less-invasive techniques including direct anterior approach hip replacement and partial knee replacement. He also specializes in revision surgery, a procedure for hip and knee replacements that have failed or are functioning poorly.
