Vivian Jones, Mayor of Wake Forest, North Carolina, issued a Mayoral Proclamation for National Athletic Training Month! She met with Wake Forest area Athletic Trainers earlier this month, including two EmergeOrtho Athletic Trainers! Check out our ATC’s in blue! Nate Rice, ATC, CSCS (left of Mayor Jones) provides medical care for all sports at Heritage High School, helping keep athletes safe and healthy! Laurie King, ATC, CSCS (right of Mayor Jones) provides athletic training and sports medicine services at Wakefield High School.
Through EmergeOrtho’s Sports Medicine Outreach Program, each Athletic Trainer works with at least two schools in the greater Triangle area. We are proud to be involved with Wake Forest schools!
National Athletic Trainers Month recognizes the important work that ATC’s do to ensure the safety and health of student athletes in the community. They work closely with the students and coaches at practices and games, and ensure that any injuries are appropriately addressed.
