Young Lu, MD

Dr. Lu pursued a spine surgery fellowship at the prestigious Cleveland Clinic to further enhance his expertise. During his training, he received numerous awards and honors and has made significant contributions to the field of orthopedics through his research and publications in medical journals. Dr. Lu also participates actively in medical conferences, where he shares his knowledge and insights with fellow professionals.

As a fellowship-trained spine specialist, Dr. Lu provides comprehensive care for patients with various back, neck, and spine conditions and injuries, including, but not limited to: herniated discs, spinal stenosis, degenerative disc disease, and spinal fractures. He employs both non-surgical and surgical approaches to address the specific needs of his patients. Dr. Lu specializes in cervical, lumbar and thoracic spine, minimally invasive spine surgery and robotic spine surgery including:

Before joining EmergeOrtho Coastal Region, Dr. Lu was an assistant professor in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at the University of Miami. He is affiliated and performs inpatient and outpatient spine surgery at Novant Health, as well as outpatient spine surgery at Brunswick Surgery Center, LLC.
