Katie earned her B.S. in Sport and Exercise Science from the University of Akron in Ohio. Seeking warmer weather, she moved to North Carolina and completed her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree at Elon University. Katie has experience in multiple settings, including orthopedics, skilled nursing facilities, and home health, but finds the challenges and rewards of the orthopedic clinic most fulfilling.
She is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and has completed Maitland Australian Physiotherapy Seminars (MAPS) MT-1 Essential Peripheral and MT-2 Essential Spinal courses. Katie also holds certification in Dynamic Taping.
Based in Asheville, Katie enjoys hiking, camping, tending her vegetable garden, and spending time with her dog, Pisgah—a certified water dog.
