Kara Turnbull graduated Summa Cum Laude from West Virginia University with a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, where she was also a member of the university’s gymnastics team. She went on to earn her Master of Health Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Lock Haven University in 2010. Kara is a board-certified Physician Assistant and a fellow member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants.
She began her career in West Virginia, gaining valuable experience in orthopedics and emergency medicine before relocating to North Carolina. Kara joined EmergeOrtho in 2020, where she continues to provide compassionate, high-quality care to her patients. She practices general orthopedics with a specialization in hip and knee replacement alongside Dr. Phillip Bostian, MD.
