Julian Smith, PA

Julian is a southerner who lived and worked in Florence SC prior to moving to North Carolina. He attended undergraduate studies at Francis Marion University where he graduated both cum laude and with College Honors with a Bachelor’s of Science in Biology. Aspiring to pursue a career in the field of medicine, he went onto complete and graduate cum laude from Florence Darlington Tech surgical technology program. After working several years as a certified surgical tech, he continued his medical training and attended the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston where he graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Physician Assisting.

 

Julian has been an orthopedic PA for the past 25 years. He initially began his career treating predominantly spine related issues. After a brief stint moonlighting in Emergency Medicine, he expanded his horizons and began to help treat and manage more acute orthopedic injuries and trauma related issues as well. This in turn is which bought him to NC where he spent the past 14 years caring and managing for orthopedic related trauma at Wake Med. He is now branching out once again and has joined EmergeOrtho to help run their dedicated Orthopedic Urgent Care Clinic in Clayton.

 

He is licensed by the North Carolina Medical Board and is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants.

 

In his free time, he enjoys fishing, working in his yard, and spending time with his wife and their 2 dogs.
