Ashley Ruiz is a Board Certified Family Practice Nurse Practitioner who is passionate
about Integrative and Functional Medicine. Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner in
2019, she worked as a registered nurse for 13 years with training in multiple areas of
nursing including; Research and Evidence Based Practice, Neurosurgery, Neurology,
Genetics, Gerontology, Urgent Care, Pediatrics, Family Medicine and Extended Care
Nursing.
Ashley obtained her nurse practitioner degree from Florida International University
graduating with Honors in 2019.
Her passion in functional medicine includes holistic orthopedics, anti-aging, and
regenerative medicine, autoimmune and neurodegenerative conditions. She previously
held the Chair position for the Nursing Research and Evidence Based Practice Council
at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital in Miami, Florida. Ashley continues to expand her
knowledge of preventative care practices and is currently working towards a certification
in Integrative Medicine Health Coaching to aid clients in meeting their health goals
through complementary approaches. Ashley is also experienced in the application of
platelet rich plasma therapy for clients interested in alternative treatments for pain
and inflammation.
