Melissa’s lower back pain began years ago, but over time, it became impossible to ignore. Pain at the L4 and L5 levels of her spine slowly affected nearly every part of her routine. Small movements during the night would wake her from sleep. Walking downstairs felt unstable. Standing after sitting at her desk became increasingly uncomfortable. Even simple tasks like bending forward to brush her teeth or putting on shoes required effort and caution.
“Daily pain began to interfere with nearly every aspect of my life, including my sleep.”
Activities she once enjoyed became limited or avoided altogether. Walking for more than a few minutes, reaching overhead, or using a ladder placed too much strain on her back. The pain was constant and exhausting. Like many people living with chronic low back pain, Melissa began adjusting her entire life around discomfort.
