Physical and Occupational Therapy
EmergeOrtho’s comprehensive therapy department includes a team of licensed physical therapists, physical therapist assistants, occupational therapists and physical therapy aides who are dedicated to helping patients recover after an orthopedic injury or surgery. We work closely with our physicians to develop the best possible treatment plans to help patients restore maximum levels of movement, function and independence. Physical therapists focus on developing the patient’s strength, balance and range of motion, while occupational therapists concentrate on custom splint fabrication and helping patients refine and rehabilitate their ability to perform tasks of daily living.
At your first visit, we will carefully evaluate your current condition and identify any potential problems or limitations you may have. Based on the results of this examination and your goals, the therapist will create an individualized plan of care. Our goal is to enable you to function at the highest level possible.
We utilize a multidisciplinary approach toward caring for patients, enlisting the expertise of our physicians and other members of our health care team to address many conditions, including:
- Sports-related injuries
- Cumulative trauma disorders
- Work-related injuries
- Acute and chronic neck / back / joint problems
- Soft tissue injuries

- Post-surgery rehab

Every patient receives a highly customized treatment plan, based not only on the patient’s injury, condition and/or type of surgical procedure, but also on his or her general level of fitness and health. We also take into consideration chronic health conditions such as diabetes or obesity when we make our therapeutic recommendations. Emphasis is placed on active patient involvement and patient responsibility in regard to exercise and pain-relief techniques.
