Trenton T. Stevens, MD

Dr. Trenton Stevens is an orthopedic surgeon specializing in trauma cases, including the treatment of complex musculoskeletal injuries. He also provides care for non-unions, mal-unions and complex fracture conditions.

Dr. Stevens earned a Bachelor of Arts in chemistry with minors in business administration and music performance from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and graduated magna cum laude from medical school at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, Tennessee, where he also completed an orthopedic surgery residency and was the peer-elected chief resident of his program.

Following residency, Dr. Stevens became a clinical fellow in orthopedic trauma at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York, NY. His fellowship training had an emphasis on the management of high energy multi-trauma patients, complex peri-articular injuries, pelvic and acetabular fractures and post-traumatic reconstruction including mal-unions and non-unions. He trained in the management of fractures of the upper extremity including shoulder, elbow and wrist, as well as lower extremity injuries including the management of complex peri-implant and peri-prosthetic fractures and fractures of the hip, knee, ankle and foot.

The recipient of numerous honors and awards for leadership and scholarship, as well as community and volunteer service, Dr. Stevens also coauthored numerous research projects, presentations and articles in peer-reviewed publications throughout his education.

Dr. Stevens lives in Wilmington with his wife and daugther. He is a proud graduate of the University of North Carolina and is excited to return back to the state to live and work. In his spare time, Dr. Stevens enjoys running, riding bikes on the city trails, golf and spending the day at the beach with his family.
