Tracy Shuford is a physician assistant with close to 25 years of experience in orthopedics. She primarily cares for patients who suffer from orthopedic injuries & conditions that result from athletics, trauma, or degenerative conditions of the shoulder. She treats patients under the supervision of Kevin M. Supple, MD at EmergeOrtho’s Greensboro location. Tracy is thoughtful, detail-oriented, witty, and strives to provide the best experience for her patients. She not only provides individualized care in the office, Tracy also assists Dr. Supple in operating room. In surgery, Dr. Supple and Tracy specialize in arthroscopic and reconstructive surgery of the shoulder, including total shoulder as well as reverse total shoulder replacements. Their patients range from pediatric to geriatric stages of life.

As a collegiate student-athlete, Tracy was an All-American in soccer and also played basketball as well as softball at Elon University. She was inducted into the Elon University Athletics Hall of Fame as a 3 sport athlete. Following, her undergraduate education, Tracy attended Wake Forest University to become a physician assistant. Her passion for and success in athletics led Tracy to become 4-time CrossFit Games Athlete.

Her experiences as a competitive athlete carryover into her work as a physician assistant. Tracy enjoys using her knowledge to assist her patients in resolving their pain, regaining their function, and returning to an active life. Her expertise, experience, and kindheartedness are irreplaceable.
