Sushil earned his bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Alberta and his master’s degree in Health Care Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is board-certified as an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) through the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties and is also a Certified Tennis Performance Specialist (CTPS).
From 2024–2026, Sushil served as Vice Chair of the American Physical Therapy Association’s Global Health for Aging Adults Special Interest Group (SIG). As part of the Research Task Force, he collaborated with internationally trained physical therapists in the U.S. who are members of the APTA Geriatrics section and work with senior athletes. He also supported the Cultural Competency in Physical Therapy platform and helped develop relationships with global physical therapy organizations.
Locally, Sushil is an active member of the Adaptive Committee with NC Tennis and Abilities Tennis, supporting inclusive and adaptive tennis initiatives within the community.
In addition, Sushil received his Credentialed Clinical Instructor Certificate through the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).
