Dr. Susan Weeks is board-certified by the American Board of Radiology and is a member of the Society of Interventional Radiology, American College of Phlebology as well as the Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society. She has been practicing since 1998. Serving as a Wound Care Physician for the EmergeOrtho—Triangle Region Team, Dr. Weeks has expertise in hepatic and biliary interventions. She currently serves as the Medical Director at the Wound Clinic in Durham, where she sees patients who are suffering from chronic ulcers.

Education and Expertise

Dr. Weeks completed her undergraduate studies at Duke University, and obtained her medical degree from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She completed a radiology residency and fellowship in vascular and interventional radiology (VIR) at UNC, and then remained on staff for seven years. She was named section chief of VIR while at UNC.

Dr. Weeks left UNC in 2006 and joined Wake Radiology for seven years, where she specialized in the outpatient treatment of venous disease. Her current clinical interests include venous disease and wound care. Dr. Weeks’ primary specialty is vascular and interventional radiology at our EmergeOrtho Vein Clinic in Durham, North Carolina. Dr. Weeks also provides diagnosis and treatment for patients at North Carolina Specialty Hospital Wound Care Center, also in Durham.
