Born and raised in upstate New York, Shawn Moody earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Nazareth College of Rochester, NY in 2011 following earning his Bachelor’s Degree in Wellness Management and Health Science from State University of New York- Oswego. Shawn has 10 years of orthopedic and sports performance Physical Therapy experience and has gone on to achieve his American Board of Physical Therapy Specialist Certification in both Orthopedics and Sports in 2017 and 2020, respectively.
Shawn also holds various certifications including Strength and Conditioning from the National
Strength and Conditioning Association since 2015, EXOS Certified Performance Specialist since 2017, Functional Dry Needling, Functional Movement Systems, Hardstyle Kettlebell Certification, and Blood Flow Restriction (BFR) from Owens Recovery Systems. He has worked with athletes ranging from amateur to collegiate and professional throughout organizations including the NCAA, MLB and its affiliates, NFL, NBA, PGA Tour, and the MLS affiliated United Soccer league. Shawn likes to use a comprehensive treatment approach blending Physical Therapy and strength and conditioning principles to improve both athletic movement competency and performance for any athlete or client who wishes to lead a healthier and more active lifestyle.
Shawn would like to become more involved in both Physical Therapy and sports performance research in the future and when not in the clinic, he enjoys spending time with his wife and son and French bulldog Tolbert.
