Dr. Martin attended North Carolina State University in Raleigh, North Carolina, earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in for Zoology and a Master of Physiology Degree. Dr. Martin then attended Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia, PA. This was followed by his three-year residency at Roanoke Memorial Hospital in Roanoke, VA. Dr.Martin joined EmergeOrtho in August 2016.

Dr. Martin is a podiatric foot & ankle surgeon with specialization in problems of the foot and ankle. Through his podiatric education and residency, Dr. Martin has had specialized, comprehensive training in foot and ankle pathology, reconstruction, limb salvage and wound care.

Special interests include podiatric medicine, foot/ankle reconstruction, diabetic foot care, and limb salvage/wound care to include but not limited to the following conditions:

• Plantar Fasciitis
• Adult Acquired Flatfoot Deformity
• Cavovarus Foot Deformity
• Toe nail pathology/problems (ingrown, infected, painful, etc.)
• Soft Tissue Masses/Cysts of the foot and ankle
• Arthritic conditions (osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, gouty arthritis, etc.)
• Charcot Arthropathy and Reconstruction
• Neuromas
• Acute & Chronic Infections of the Foot/Ankle
• Foot & Ankle Trauma (soft tissue laceration/injury, tendon ruptures, fractures, dislocations, sprains, etc.)
• Skin lesions/masses

Dr. Martin was born and raised in New Bern, North Carolina.
