Ryan Dougherty earned his Bachelor of Science in exercise science from New York’s Ithaca College, where he played on the varsity basketball team.
He then graduated with his Master of Science Physician Assistant (MSPA) from Monmouth University in New Jersey. During his training, he completed more than 2,000 hours of clinical patient care in rotations across a range of disciplines, emerging with a passion in orthopedic surgery, emergency medicine and cardiology.
While in college, Ryan worked as a pharmacy technician and emergency department medical scribe, giving him valuable experience in other aspects of the medical field.
Ryan is a board-certified physician assistant and is certified in both basic and advanced cardiac life support by the American Red Cross. He works with Dr. Hocker on the joint replacement team.
