Dr. Gioffre is a board certified orthopedic surgeon. He has been practicing medicine for 40+ years. Dr. Gioffre continues to provide non-operative orthopedic care for his patients in the Triad Region, including Greensboro and Summerfield locations.
Following the completion of his surgical internship at Jackson Memorial Hospital, Dr. Gioffre served in the U.S. Marine Corps, earning a Silver Star in Vietnam. After service as a Naval physician at St. Albans Naval Hospital in New York, he returned to Jackson Memorial Hospital completing his orthopedic surgical residency.
Then, Dr. Gioffre worked in private orthopedic practice as an orthopedic surgeon both in Miami and Greensboro. In 1984, Dr. Gioffre joined Greensboro Orthopedics now EmergeOrtho Triad Region. He has served as Chief of Staff at Wesley Long Hospital and President of Greensboro Orthopedics.
Dr. Gioffre chose the field of orthopedic medicine because of his experience in Vietnam as a U.S. Marine Corps physician. Dr. Gioffre finds assisting those in need and helping them through their recovery very satisfying. He enjoys building positive relationships, as he feels that most people are his friends, not just another patient.
