Dr. Robert Boswell practices in Wilmington at 3787 Shipyard Boulevard and in Jacksonville at 2000 Brabham Avenue, Suite 100. Dr. Boswell graduated from Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Virginia. He then received his medical degree from University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. Dr. Boswell completed his internship and residency at Emory University School of Medicine followed by additional fellowship training at San Diego Arthroscopy and Sports Medicine.
Dr. Boswell is board-certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery and has earned a Certificate of Added Qualification in Sports Medicine.
As a fellowship-trained sports medicine surgeon, Dr. Robert Boswell specializes in disorders of the shoulder and knee, in addition to all sports related injuries. He has a focus on using rehabilitation, prevention, and both arthroscopic and open surgery to restore joint function and keep patients involved in an active lifestyle. He serves as a team physician for several local high schools.
Outside of work, Dr. Boswell is an avid runner and musician and enjoys outdoor activities including fishing, running, and boating. He lives with his wife, Allison, and their two children in Wilmington, NC.
