After graduating magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from East Carolina University, Morgan Sutton worked as a phlebotomist at Novant Health for several years. She returned to ECU in 2018, earning a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies in 2020.
While in PA school, Morgan participated in Global Health Experience in Honduras, where she worked alongside other medical professionals to provide medical assistance, including triage, prescription refills, health education and medical documentation.
While doing rotations for her physician assistant clinical experience, Morgan worked on the EmergeOrtho trauma team with Neil MacIntyre, MD, gaining experience treating all types of fractures, closed reductions and amputations, as well as performing nerve blocks for postoperative pain management.
Now officially part of our trauma team, Morgan works with Dr. MacIntyre, as well as Christopher Parks, MD, another trauma specialist in the Wilmington region.
Morgan is a member of numerous professional associations and has earned several certifications in addition to her physician assistant board certifications, including Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support, Basic Life Support and NIH Stroke Scale International.
