Michelle is a lifelong resident of Western North Carolina, having grown up just outside Asheville. Her nursing career began as a Licensed Practical Nurse before earning her Associate Degree in Nursing from Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College and becoming a Registered Nurse. She later completed her Bachelor’s Degree at Capella University and went on to earn a Master of Science in Nursing with Nurse Practitioner training from Walden University, specializing in Adult-Gerontology Acute Care.
Before completing her graduate studies, Michelle accumulated over a decade of nursing experience in diverse settings, including long-term care, hospice and end-of-life care, inpatient rehabilitation, and the operating room. It was during her time in the OR that she discovered her passion for orthopedics and surgery—a path that ultimately led her to focus on helping patients restore mobility and enhance their quality of life.
Outside of work, Michelle enjoys reading and gardening, but most of her free time is devoted to her husband and their two wonderful children.
