Michele Hobson, PT, DPT

Michele attended Winthrop University, where she played collegiate basketball and earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology. She went on to complete a Master’s in Health and Sport Science at Wake Forest University, followed by four years working on a National Institutes of Health-funded research study focused on individuals with knee osteoarthritis.

Driven by her passion for patient care, Michele returned to school to earn a Master’s in Physical Therapy from Western Carolina University and later a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from A.T. Still University of Health Sciences. Throughout her career, she has specialized in treating orthopedic conditions across all body regions. Michele is a certified ASTYM and dry needling provider and has completed numerous continuing education courses to advance her expertise.

Outside of her professional work, Michele is an accomplished adventure racer—a demanding, multi-disciplinary sport that includes running, mountain biking, paddling, ropes, swimming, and other challenges, all navigated by map and compass. She has competed in races across half of the United States, British Columbia, New Zealand, and South Africa. Her team, Checkpoint Zero, has won the USARA Masters’ National Championship six times and was among 66 teams worldwide selected to compete in World’s Toughest Race in Fiji, featured on Amazon Prime Video.
