Larry McCauley is a physician assistant who joined the EmergeOrtho Triad Region team in 2021. He brings a wealth of professional healthcare experience to Greensboro. Prior to earning his Master of Physician Assistant Studies from Elon University, Larry worked as a paramedic in Alamance County for eight years.

While working as a paramedic, Larry realized he wanted to offer an advanced level of care to his patients. He had worked alongside physician assistants (PA) in the emergency department. He believed furthering his education to become a PA would help him realize his goal. Larry’s ambition and determination to best serve his community led him to pursue his graduate degree in Burlington.

At EmergeOrtho, Larry specializes in the evaluation and treatment of the hip and knee joints. He provides skilled, individualized patient care in the clinic and in the operating room under the supervision of Brian Swinteck, MD. Larry is focused on listening to his patients as they describe their orthopedic symptoms and concerns. He spends time educating his patients to ensure they understand their condition and specific treatment plans. Larry enjoys collaborating with patients and their families to best meet their needs.
