Kyle E. Nappo, MD

Dr. Kyle Nappo is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon, with specific interest and experience in treating sports medicine injuries. He has a broad experience with active patients during an 11-year career as a Naval Orthopaedic Surgeon and as the liaison surgeon for the Marine Special Operations Command.

He is a native of southwest Michigan where he attended Western Michigan University and Lee Honors College. He was awarded The Medallion Full Tuition Scholarship and completed his Bachelors of Science as a summa cum laude graduate. Following undergraduate education, Dr. Nappo attended Wayne State University School of Medicine where he graduated with High Honors and was presented the Dr. Elis & Nellie Alford Award, given to a sole graduating student based on academic excellence. He completed his Orthopaedic Surgery Residency in 2019 at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center earning the Norman T. Kirk award for the most outstanding graduating resident. Dr. Nappo has spent the past 5 years stationed at Naval Medical Center Camp Lejeune caring for active-duty service members, their families, and military retirees. During this time, he was the site investigator for a multi-center trial investigating the optimal treatment for shoulder instability.

Outside of work, Dr. Nappo’s interests are hiking, camping, biking, golfing, triathlon, and most outdoor activities.
