Kristine Burns joined our team in 2001. She currently cares for patients as a physical therapist assistant at EmergeOrtho’s Physical Therapy Clinic in Greensboro. Prior to joining our practice, Kristine had experience as a BOC Certified Athletic Trainer in the collegiate setting as both an assistant and head certified athletic trainer. Her primary responsibility with us, upon hire, was to serve as the Head Certified Athletic Trainer at Grimsley Senior High School. Her role has since changed. In 2006, Kristine transitioned her focus to caring for patients predominantly within our Therapy Services clinic. She treats a variety of patients from pediatric to geriatric stages of life. “I enjoy working with a variety of people every day – no two days are the same. I get a certain sense of fulfillment when a patient completes their post-surgical rehabilitation and returns to express their gratitude, especially when a patient announces, “I was able to complete the triathlon I was training for!” or “I got a scholarship for track and field!” says, Kristine.
Kristine’s continuing education interests include advancements in upper and lower extremity rehabilitation. She has attended and participated in variety of continuing education courses including numerous National Athletic Trainers’ Association Annual Meeting and Clinical Symposiums. Kristine not only values her own education, but has been involved in educating student athletic trainers and student physical therapist assistants. She has been a clinical preceptor for University of North Carolina Greensboro Athletic Training Program and became a preceptor for GTCC PTA program in 2013.
She strives to deliver quality, compassionate, and patient-centered care to all of her patients inside and outside of the Therapy clinic. She offers a unique approach to healthcare delivery with her diverse background.

EmergeOrtho is full of wonderful doctors! They make sure they go over every little thing and explain stuff so that you understand. I have 4 different doctors here and have been pleased with them all.
