Kevin M. Supple, MD

Dr. Supple is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon and has been serving Greensboro since 1993. Dr. Supple was the first orthopedic surgeon in Guilford County to earn a Subspecialty Certificate of Orthopedic Sports Medicine, awarded by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery in recognition for training and expertise in the management of the spectrum of athletic injuries. As an experienced surgeon, his practice has now evolved to focus exclusively on the shoulder, including traumatic and overuse injuries, arthroscopic treatment of rotator cuff tears and shoulder dislocations, and shoulder reconstruction for the treatment of arthritis, including total shoulder as well as reverse shoulder replacements and revision shoulder surgery. As an undergraduate student-athlete, Dr. Supple was an elite level gymnast, earning All American honors at the Collegiate National Championships. His experiences as a competitive gymnast and coach helped shape his decision to pursue medicine and specifically sparked his passion for sports medicine. Dr. Supple believes the focus, dedication, and stamina necessary to succeed in athletics are qualities that have readily transferred to his medical practice. These qualities are what have led the evolution of his practice to one focused exclusively on the spectrum of shoulder problems.

Dr. Supple continues to live an active lifestyle that includes competitive mountain biking, water skiing, snow skiing, and fitness. His athletic pursuits keep him in touch with the local sports community. His philosophy regarding fitness, training, and rehabilitation reflect an athlete’s mindset and are incorporated into the treatment protocols used by the entire EmergeOrtho Triad team.
