Dr. Mitchell earned her undergraduate degree at Duke University and her medical degree at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She completed her internal medicine residency and Rheumatology fellowship at Duke University Medical Center. Dr. Mitchell is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and also received certification in the subspecialty of Rheumatology.

Prior to joining EmergeOrtho, Dr. Mitchell was an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Rheumatology at Duke University Medical Center. Her clinical interests include treating inflammatory arthritis such as rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis and gout, and other connective tissue diseases including Sjogren’s Syndrome.

Dr. Mitchell is seeing patients at the main campus in Durham and the Southpoint office.
