Kaitlyn joined EmergeOrtho-Coastal Region in early 2026, bringing valuable experience in orthopedic surgery and a sub-specialization in conditions of the spine. She has specialized expertise in spinal pathology, including cervical, thoracic and lumbar fusions, laminectomies and discectomies, as well as in general orthopedic pathology.
While earning her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science degree from Rutgers University, Kaitlyn worked as an emergency medicine technician and medical assistant, where she gained experience in clinical and ER settings, including with trauma cases. She completed her education at South University in Richmond, Virginia, with a Master of Science Physician Assistant Studies.
Kaitlyn is part of the interventional pain management team led by Alexander (Sasha) Varzari, MD, based in the Shallotte office.
