After graduating from Pepperdine University with a Bachelor of Science in Sports Medicine, Garrett amassed a great deal of experience in the medical field before returning to school to seek his Master of Science in Physician Studies at Rush University.
His experience includes working as a physical therapist aide in a rehabilitation center, as a medical assistant with an orthopedic and sports medicine group, and as an ophthalmic technician.
Upon earning his PA-C, he worked as an orthopedic PA for two years in Chicago before joining EmergeOrtho-Coastal Region in 2025. Garrett is a valuable member of the joint replacement and sports medicine teams led by Shawn Hocker, MD.
