Dustin C. Hoffman, MD

Dustin C. Hoffman, MD, is a board-certified and fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon who treats both operative and non-operative conditions of the hip and knee. He believes in customized patient care plans tailored to meet the needs of each patient. Dr. Hoffman specializes in direct anterior hip replacements, bikini incision anterior hip replacements, outpatient total hip and knee replacements and complex total hip and knee replacements. He is fully credentialed in robotic-assisted joint replacement including partial knee, total knee and total hip.

Dr. Hoffman graduated cum laude from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Science in biology and a minor in cellular biology and earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from Mercer University School of Medicine in Macon, Georgia. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Summa Health Systems in Akron, Ohio, as well as a fellowship in adult reconstruction at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia.

An avid researcher and presenter throughout his medical training, Dr. Hoffman is a member of the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons, the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American Medical Student Association.

Physicians who are Mako and/or ROSA certified are credentialed and able to perform surgery at any of the regional facilities that have these robotic-assisted surgery systems, including but not limited to: Brunswick Surgery Center in Leland, NC; Novant Health (formerly New Hanover Regional Medical Center) in Wilmington, NC; and Dosher Memorial Hospital in Southport, NC.
