Brooke DeWitt is an experienced physical therapist assistant who joined our Triad Team in 2013. Since joining EmergeOrtho Triad Region, her focus has been on treating a variety of orthopedic conditions and disorders. Brooke’s participation in competitive sports and love of coaching carries over to her professional endeavors. Brooke is enthusiastic with her patients and attentive to their needs. Her professional interests include include Kinesio Taping®, Personalized Blood Flow Restriction, Myofascial Release Techniques, McKenzie Method, and Graston Technique®.
She earned a Bachelor of Science from the University of North Carolina Greensboro (UNCG) in Exercise and Sports Science. While earning her degree at UNCG, Brooke acquired knowledge of the physical therapy profession as she worked as a physical therapy aide in an outpatient orthopedic clinic. She continued her education at Guilford Technical Community College (GTCC) becoming a Physical Therapist Assistant in December of 2012.
During Brooke’s time at GTCC, she interned at both Forsyth Medical Center and Raleigh Neurological Association. Her clinical studies focused on inpatient and outpatient orthopedic care as well as the treatment of vestibular pathologies, Multiple Sclerosis, and Parkinson Disease.
Brooke’s involvement in movement extended into her community through coaching youth soccer and providing swimming lessons. She is certified through the American Swimming Coaches Association as a Level 2 coach.
