Dr. Amber Gaught is a member of the EmergeOrtho—Triangle Region on the Interventional Pain Management Team. Her clinical focus is the multidisciplinary treatment of chronic spine and musculoskeletal issues to improve function and reduce reliance on opioids. As an experienced pain management physician, Dr. Gaught is committed to providing her patients with personalized, patient-centered care.

Education and Expertise

Dr. Gaught is a graduate of the Indiana University School of Medicine. She completed her residency training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, serving as chief resident during her final year. She then went on to complete further subspecialty training with a fellowship in Interventional Spine and Musculoskeletal Medicine at OrthoCarolina Spine Center in Winston-Salem with Dr. David O’Brien.

Dr. Gaught is board certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. She is an active member of the North American Spine Society, the Spine Intervention Society, the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, the American Association of Neuromuscular and Electrodiagnostic Medicine, and the North Carolina Medical Society.

Dr. Gaught’s fellowship training enables her to provide patients with non-surgical management for the treatment of pain. She also performs fluoroscopically-guided procedures, which include:
