Adam G. Street, DO

Dr. Street is a non-surgical sports medicine physician specializing in the evaluation and management of acute and chronic musculoskeletal conditions, including joint, tendon, ligament, and nerve-related injuries. He holds additional certifications in musculoskeletal ultrasound and regenerative medicine and performs diagnostic ultrasounds, ultrasound-guided injections, and orthobiologic treatments such as platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injections. Dr. Street joined EmergeOrtho—Foothills Region in August 2025.

Dr. Street attended high school in Lenoir, then completed his undergraduate studies at Virginia Tech, receiving a bachelor’s degree in biological sciences with a minor in history. After college, Dr. Street made the decision to join the Unites States Army and attend medical school, also on the Virginia Tech campus; the Via College of Osteopathic Medicine (VCOM).

Following his internship year, he was stationed in Germany as a Flight Surgeon with the 5-158th Aviation Regiment, where he was the officer in charge for the Battalion Medical Section. After this assignment, Dr. Street completed his residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. After residency, Dr. Street completed a Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship with Emory University. He was selected to complete the standard sports medicine fellowship program, but was also given the opportunity to spend time training at Interventional Orthopedics of Atlanta, where he received an additional certificate in Interventional Orthopedics. During his fellowship, Dr. Street had the opportunity to work with the Atlanta Falcons and the Atlanta Hawks and provided medical coverage for various other sports teams and special sporting events.

After completing his medical training, Dr. Street was stationed in Colorado Springs, where he spent five years as a PM&R and Sports Medicine physician at the Pain Clinic at Evans Army Community Hospital. He also provided sports medicine care to the 10th Special Forces Group. Although no longer on active duty, Dr. Street continues to serve in the North Carolina National Guard. His academic contributions include co-authoring a textbook chapter and presenting multiple posters and podium presentations at national medical conferences.

Dr. Street, his wife, Rachel, and their 2 sons, are excited to be back in Western North Carolina. Dr. Street loves the outdoors and staying active. In his spare time, he enjoys mountain biking, hiking, fly fishing, skiing, and camping. In addition, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends and traveling.
