EmergeOrtho Orthopedic Urgent Care Adds Saturday Hours and Online Reservation Option

Between sporting events, surfing sessions and just enjoying the weekend along the Carolina Coast, Saturday mornings are an especially active time in Wilmington—which means accidents and injuries are more likely. To meet those needs and to accommodate those who can’t take time off on weekdays, EmergeOrtho Orthopedic Urgent Care’s two Wilmington locations are now offering specialized orthopedic care on Saturdays.

No appointment is needed, so patients can simply walk, hobble or crawl into any EmergeOrtho Orthopedic Urgent Care location during the posted hours:

3787 Shipyard Boulevard in Wilmington
Saturdays ONLY, 9:00 am – 1:00 pm

6019 Oleander Drive (Seagate) in Wilmington
Saturdays, 9:00 am – 1:00 pm
Monday through Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm

Two additional EmergeOrtho-Coastal Region locations are also open weekdays:

5160 Ocean Highway West in Shallotte
Monday through Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm

2000 Brabham Avenue in Jacksonville
Monday through Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm

Stay tuned: Our 8115 Market Street location in Porters Neck expects to add urgent care services in early 2023.

While EmergeOrtho Orthopedic Urgent Care is a walk-in clinic and appointments are not needed, you can reserve your spot in line well before you arrive. Simply go to emergeortho.com/coastal-region and click the RESERVE YOUR SPOT button.

More Specialized, Less Exposure

EmergeOrtho-Coastal Region offers the only urgent care in the Wilmington area dedicated exclusively to orthopedics, including a staff specialty trained to treat your breaks, sprains and strains, as well as your recently painful, swollen or injured joints. We even have X-ray and casting on-site.

Another significant benefit to our orthopedics-only urgent care is limiting your exposure to people who need to be seen for non-orthopedic issues, such as those that are common during cold and flu seasons.

Avoid the ER When You Can

A visit to a hospital emergency department is considerably more expensive than being treated at an urgent care—as much as 10-12 times more.

In addition, an ER treats people for all types of conditions and necessarily gives priority to life-threatening situations, so your wait is almost certainly going to be much longer in a much more hectic environment should you choose that option for a mild to moderate musculoskeletal injury or condition.

However, for major trauma, including compound fractures, the ER is definitely the correct choice.

Statewide Connectivity Is Reassuring

EmergeOrtho patients have the added benefit of a statewide network of more than 45 locations in the following regions: Coastal (Wilmington), Triangle (Raleigh-Durham- Chapel Hill), Triad (Greensboro-High Point-Winston Salem), Foothills (Hickory), and Blue Ridge (Asheville).

Should you get injured while home along the coast, while visiting the mountains, or nearly anywhere in between, just go to the nearest EmergeOrtho location. Providers there will have seamless access to your EmergeOrtho records, and of course, your follow-up care will be equally efficient once you are back home.

We’re Here If You Need Us

While we hope you stay healthy and injury-free, should you have a bone, muscle or joint injury or condition that needs to be diagnosed and treated right away, but is not severe enough to warrant emergency room care, the specialists at EmergeOrtho Orthopedic Urgent Care are here for you. EmergeOrtho Orthopedic Urgent Care is available to patients of all ages, and most insurances are accepted.

A New Level Of Orthopedic Care Has Emerged

As our patient, you will benefit from a full range of orthopedic services, specialties and technologies, including physical and hand therapy, advanced imaging services, and urgent care walk-in services providing immediate diagnosis and treatment for urgent orthopedic conditions.
