
Fellowship-trained hand and upper extremity surgeon Aimee J. Riley, D.O., was recently published in The Journal of Hand Surgery, the official journal for the American Society for Surgery of the Hand.
The article, entitled “Tendon Adhesions: A Novel Method of Objectively Measuring Adhesions by Assessing Tendon Glide Through a Soft Tissue Envelope in a Rat Model,” was co-written by Dr. Riley as well as other fellow medical providers and researchers. The goal of their study was to develop extra-synovial tendon adhesions that will allow for scar barriers as well as adhesion inhibiting treatments to be accurately tested.
