Why a Sports Physical Is Required

The North Carolina High School Athletic Association (NCHSAA) requires each student-athlete to have an up-to-date sports physical before participating in high school athletics. These sports physicals often:

  • Assess overall health and injury risk
  • Evaluate strength, joint range of motion, and musculoskeletal function
  • Can identify concerns before joining a team

Getting a PPE early helps avoid delays, ensures compliance, and gives parents peace of mind that their child is fit to play.
