EmergeOrtho Expands in Greensboro Through Strategic Merger
Greensboro, NC – October 24, 2025
EmergeOrtho is proud to announce the merger of three respected, physician-owned orthopedic practices in Greensboro. Effective October 4, 2025, Murphy Wainer Orthopedic Specialists and Guilford Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine Center, collectively known as Southeastern Orthopaedic Specialists (SOS) have joined EmergeOrtho.

Each of the merging practices brings decades of trusted service and clinical excellence to the community. United under the EmergeOrtho name, patients can continue to expect affordable, accessible, and comprehensive orthopedic care from the providers they know and trust.
This strategic alignment enhances operational efficiency and expands access to specialized orthopedic services across the Triad. Patients will benefit from a broader group of expert physicians, on-site diagnostic imaging, including MRI, orthopedic urgent care, and advanced therapy services. The merger ensures continuity of care, allowing patients to continue seeing their preferred orthopedic specialists. EmergeOrtho offices are connected through one electronic health record system, ensuring that patients and providers have secure, convenient access to diagnostic images and reports across all locations.
