EmergeOrtho Adds New Group in New Year

On January 1, 2019, Greensboro Orthopedics joined EmergeOrtho’s statewide group expanding our reach to those who live, work, and play in the Triad & surrounding area. Now known as EmergeOrtho Triad Region, Greensboro Orthopedics has been dedicated to providing outstanding comprehensive, patient-centered care for more than six decades. “We are excited to be the first to bring the considerable resources of an integrated medical group practice like EmergeOrtho to the Triad”, said Dr. Jeffrey Beane, President of EmergeOrtho Triad Region. “We see this union as the next phase in the advancement of our practice.”

The practice’s 15 physicians are board-certified or board-eligible and have received fellowship training in many sub-specialty areas of orthopedics and orthopedic surgery. In addition, the practice has a knowledgeable, well-qualified, and diverse professional staff that includes physician assistants, physical therapists, hand therapists, certified athletic trainers, physical therapist’s assistants, MRI technologists, X-ray technologists, administrative staff, and administrators.

When an established medical practice joins EmergeOrtho, their patients remain in the care of the same providers they know and trust, while gaining broader access to a fully integrated group of highly trained and experienced orthopedic specialists. In addition, all EmergeOrtho patients utilize AthenaHealth as their electronic medical records platform, creating seamless access in all EmergeOrtho service regions.

“This benefit proved very useful during the recent hurricane,” explained EmergeOrtho CEO, Stephen DeBiaisi. “Patients who evacuated from the Wilmington area were able to seek treatment with an EmergeOrtho provider in another part of the state who could easily obtain their complete medical chart.”

From the mountains to the coast, EmergeOrtho patients benefit from ancillary services such as diagnostic imaging, physical therapy, and a network of dedicated, specialized orthopedic urgent care centers designed to address emergent orthopedic needs while offering patients a less expensive alternative to the ER.

Since EmergeOrtho formed in 2016 as one of the largest independent, physician-owned orthopedic practices in the state, the group continually builds on proven strategies and implements practices and programs that further the group’s mission to remain independent, to put patients first, and to provide a higher standard of care at a lower cost.

In addition to the Triad, EmergeOrtho services the Blue Ridge, Foothills, Triangle, and Wilmington regions with 49 offices and more than 1745 employees. Our name, EmergeOrtho, describes our shared goal of helping patients emerge stronger, healthier, and better.
