Yes, EmergeOrtho accepts outside orders. However, before scheduling your MRI, you must have:

1. A valid physician’s order.
2. An approved insurance authorization.

Our team will help verify your information before your appointment is scheduled.

MRI scan times vary depending on the type of exam:

Without contrast: as little as 15 minutes.
With contrast: up to 40 minutes.

Your exact scan time will depend on the study ordered by your provider.

EmergeOrtho – Coastal Region provides a variety of MRI options to enhance comfort and diagnostic accuracy, including:

• Wide bore MRI (more space than traditional scanners)
• Standard bore MRI
• True open MRI (ideal for claustrophobic patients)

Not all patients are eligible for MRI. EmergeOrtho cannot perform MRI scans for patients with:

• Pacemakers or defibrillators
• Non-MRI-safe implanted devices

If you have an implanted device labeled MRI-safe, it must be:

• Cleared prior to scheduling
• Supported with proper documentation

Yes, EmergeOrtho – Coastal Region does not perform certain MRI studies, including:

• Breast MRI with contrast
• Abdominal MRI with contrast
